MISSION
Camp Kudzu is dedicated to educating, empowering, and inspiring children and teens living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Camp Kudzu hosts year-round programs, including multiple overnight summer sessions, family camps, teen retreats, and a day camp. Campers learn how to manage T1D in an inclusive, fun-filled environment and create long-lasting friendships. In addition, lessons are woven into camp activities so that campers can learn diabetes management skills that help increase their independence. Our inspiring programs empower families, children, and teens living with type 1 diabetes to gain confidence, make connections with their peers, and increase knowledge about living a healthy life with diabetes.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Camp Kudzu serves more than 900 campers and families annually from all over Georgia. However, these campers and families only represent a small percentage of the 6,000 children and teens living with T1D in Georgia that Camp Kudzu hopes to reach.
