MISSION
Lost-n-Found Youth (LNFY) was founded in 2011 out of a critical need for an LGBTQ-competent youth shelter and support center in the city of Atlanta. A world where all youth feel safe and supported to live and love authentically drives our mission to work with communities to end homelessness for LGBTQ youth by providing food, shelter, and life stabilization services.
LNFY’s comprehensive care includes a 24-hour crisis hotline, transitional housing, and a full-service day shelter that assists with employment, healthcare, and educational opportunities.
While dedicated to serving LGBTQ youth, LNFY is open to all youth in need. On average, LNFY supports more than 1,000 youth annually. LNFY’s service to the community also includes its thrift store. LNFY provides free clothing to its homeless and at-risk clients, while also using proceeds from sales to fund its programs.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
There are several ways to support. Invest in the lives of our youth by making a one-time gift, setting up a recurring donation, or organizing a peer fundraiser. Purchase or donate items from our list of frequently requested items or choose from volunteer opportunities available for individuals and groups. Donate new and used items for our thrift store, including clothes, toys, furniture, collectibles, appliances, and cars.
