2018 has been a crazy year for Georgia’s film industry and we can’t wait to see where the next one will take us. But before that happens, we’ve got one more month of yellow signs, basecamps, and film sets. Here’s what closed out the year in Atlanta:

Our only new production for this month, Undercover Brother 2, is a follow up to the 2002 comedy starring Eddie Griffin, Denise Richards, Dave Chappelle, and Neil Patrick Harris. Unfortunately, it does not appear as though any of those actors are attached to the sequel. We saw Undercover Brother 2 filming in Marietta on November 29, in downtown Atlanta on December 3, and in West Midtown filming a fight scene on December 14.

Rose Byrne, Salma Hayek, and Tiffany Haddish returned this month, continuing on Limited Partners (production code: M&M / R+F). The comedy started December in downtown Atlanta, shooting there between the 1st and 3rd. After that, a basecamp was spotted near SunTrust Park in Cobb County. Signs were spotted along Buford Highway and North Druid Hills Road leading to a basecamp in Brookhaven on December 13. The next day, on the 14th, crews returned to the Cumberland area for filming. On December 17, production was back in downtown Atlanta, and crews filmed near Mercedes-Benz Stadium on December 20.

Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings (BEULAH), the Netflix anthology series, continued shooting into December as well. Signs were placed off of GA-400’s exit 17 on December 4. Filming took place in Snellville on December 6. Crews were spotted in Loganville on the 12th and a scene was shot in downtown Canton on December 14.

HBO’s Watchmen (CHAR) worked out of Union City on December 2. The graphic novel-based series then traveled to Newnan on December 13. A basecamp was spotted near the Georgia World Congress Center on December 17.

Apple’s reboot of Amazing Stories (PUGET) started the month with signs along South Cobb Drive near I-285 on December 6. The next day, crews were spotted in Sandy Springs. On December 10, filming returned to Smyrna. Throughout the middle of the month, scenes were shot in Kirkwood. Most recently, on December 18, the production moved up to Flowery Branch to film.

Netflix’s Raising Dion (RD) had a busy December. The Michael B. Jordon and Jason Ritter led series closed out November shooting in Stone Mountain. On December 1, crews worked out of Decatur. Between the 3rd and the 4th, filming moved back to Stone Mountain. Signs and production equipment were also present in Clarkston during the first week of the month. On December 7, signs were placed near Perimeter Mall in Dunwoody. Between the 17th and 18th, production returned to Clarkston. For the remainder of this week, until the 21st, filming will take place in Fairburn.

The CW’s Black Lightning (LOC / SIGN) was spotted in Decatur on December 6. The next week, on December 13, a basecamp was set up at the Varsity. The next day, filming took place at the Georgia World Congress Center. Crews didn’t travel far, as the series remained in downtown Atlanta until December 17.

FOX’s The Passage (PSG) worked out of Stone Mountain on December 1. On the 4th, the production moved out to Lithonia before returning back to Stone Mountain on December 7. Between the 20th and the 21st, they’ll be in Fairburn.

The second season of BET’s Tales (TALES) filmed in Brookhaven on December 10. On the 11th, the show shot in McDonough. Doom Patrol (GRANT) made an appearance this month as well, filming in Conyers on December 12 and in Lithonia between the 17th and the 18th. Oprah’s Ambitions (AMB) filmed in Piedmont Park on December 3. FOX’s The Resident (TR) was in Conyers on November 28, Covington on November 30, and back in Conyers on December 17. YouTube’s Cobra Kai (CK) was spotted at the shuttered Rio Bravo restaurant on Powers Ferry Road between November 28 and 29. The Gifted (HVN) worked out of College Park on November 29. American Soul (AMSO) filmed in Palmetto between December 10 and 11. MacGyver (EYE) filmed in Lithonia on November 30 and had signs placed at Collier Road and Seaboard Industrial Boulevard on December 18. The CW’s Dynasty (CROSS EYE) filmed in Norcross on December 7 and 10. Also, BET’s Boomerang (PTV) reboot/sequel/TV adaptation had signs up along Ponce De Leon Avenue near Ponce City Market on November 30.
