A three-year grant to support strategic innovation has funded the creation of a new position at Trinity School, which serves students from age three through grade six. The STEAM Integration Specialist coordinates integrated learning experiences by working directly with students and teachers to increase their understanding and implementation of STEAM objectives. Kate Burton, a 22-year teaching veteran who accepted the position, has been with the school for 11 years as a sixth-grade science teacher. In her new role, Burton works closely with teachers to develop more effective strategies for incorporating STEAM into the curriculum and to design accurate assessments. trinityatl.org
