Yet another of the original Krog Street Market anchors has crumbled. On January 15, Craft Izakaya, which opened in 2014, will cease operations and, on January 18, relaunch as Makimono food stall and bar.

An izakaya is a brewpub that serves small, tapas-style plates, presumably to stimulate more drinking. This model requires a well-stocked bar, and on weekdays the line at Craft Izakaya can extend three deep—right into Krog Street Market.
