Leonard Yu, the chef behind Michelin-starred Omakase Table, has 3 new restaurants in the works

Leonard Yu, the chef-restaurateur who has been synonymous with omakase excellence, is preparing to launch a bold new wave of restaurants. In the fall, Yu will partner with Niki Pattharaskositkul of 26 Thai, Pink Lotus, and Blackjack Bar Tapas to debut Table 6, an izakaya and sushi spot in Midtown. Come March, he’ll launch Nori Me, a handroll bar, across from Fellini’s in Decatur. At the same time, Yu is creating an Argentinian steakhouse in West Midtown.

Review: Ryokou wants to take you on an edible trip through Japan

Ryokou, a new kappo-style restaurant in Adair Park is owned by chef Leonard Yu who also owns Omakase Table. The restaurant builds its identity by sharing its passion for knowledge and exploration. It doesn’t try to outdo its peers, and it is not about chef worship. It’s more like hanging out with a friend who is a total nerd about Japanese food and wants to tell you about it while feeding you.

Smaller than Omakase Table with ten seats instead of 14, Ryokou will serve an eight-course tasting menu of small plates and nigiri.
