The 22-year-old theater started as a place to catch short-form improv and has now grown to become Atlanta’s version of Second City. In an Old Fourth Ward church the company successfully crowdfunded in 2016, you can watch up to two shows a night, from classic Whose Line Is It Anyway?–style Theatresports to scripted sketches. But Dad’s is also known for bringing in national talent, with Archer’s Amber Nash and Colin Mochrie regularly stopping by to mix with local improvisers like rising star Mark Kendall. Or become the talent yourself by taking Dad’s improv classes. 569 Izzard Street, 404-523-3141, dadsgarage.com
