The Dome debuted August 23, 1992, with a Falcons preseason victory over the Eagles (Hammer kicked things off; John Denver sang the national anthem; Travis Tritt played halftime). But the arena’s quintessentially ’90s color scheme (think Color Me Badd CD cover) had already taken center stage.
