The Woodstock-based Copper Coin Coffee is opening a second outpost in Town Brookhaven in early December. And unlike the original location, this one will feature a “simple” menu that includes breakfast and lunch sandwiches, as well as refined small plates for dinner. “It’s our unique take that looks to push the boundaries of your typical café,” says owner Mike Gullicksen. “We source local ingredients and make everything in house to create a fresh and unique menu that is resemblant of the seasons.” David Gullicksen, formerly of Foundation Social Eatery, will spearhead the menu development. He’ll serve BB’s Bagels, crispy chicken sandwiches, and po’ boys. Small plates may include oysters, scallops, and soups.

Beer and wine will be available by the glass and the bottle, highlighting Reformation Brewery offerings. Copper Coin’s full menu of espresso, cappuccino, and lattes made with Counter Culture coffee will also be served.

The interior will feature brick, steel countertops, reclaimed barn wood, and a gray and brown color scheme. “It’s a community place where people can come and relax,” Gullicksen says.
