We are excited to share with you the full digital edition of Atlanta magazine’s May issue, brought to you by Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Tourism.  In this issue, you will enjoy an incredible lineup of stories.

First, we explore Georgia’s historic Ocean Highway, U.S. Highway 17, which hugs the Georgia coastline – this particular stretch of scenic road runs from Savannah to Brunswick.  This feature will take readers on a journey through the history, the places, the food, the culture, and the personalities that make this road trip so special. 

Next, we go in-depth with Arthur Blank and talk specifically about what has been his lifelong passion of giving back.  Our staff writer, Thomas Wheatley, traveled to Blank’s ranch in Montana to get an inside glimpse at what motivates Blank to give away most of his fortune.  It’s a compelling read. 

And, just as we went to press on this May issue, Atlanta was in the full grip of COVID-19.  Our editorial staff pivoted in the eleventh hour of producing this issue to bring you a firsthand account from more than a dozen notable Atlantans–from the Mayor to a high school senior–on how the COVID-19 pandemic was directly impacting their lives.  From interrupted wedding plans to mobilizing an entire school district for online learning, our fellow neighbors tell a gripping story of how their worlds changed once the city began to cope with what many are calling the “21st Century Plague.”

During this time of self-quarantine, Atlanta magazine has seen our web traffic skyrocket and the level of engagement with our content dramatically increase.  We decided at that time to provide you, our loyal audience, with the added value of receiving a complimentary digital edition of the magazine.  We plan on continuing this “trend” for the foreseeable future.  While we will always remain dedicated to delivering compelling stories in print, we are excited to bring you this digital edition as a complement to the print issue and, by so doing, extend our reach even further.
