When Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical about the life and times of Alexander Hamilton rolled through Atlanta last May, tickets were snatched up quickly. But luckily for fans who missed their initial shot, Hamilton will return to the Fox Theatre in spring 2020.
As announced by Broadway in Atlanta on Tuesday with the unveiling of their official 2019-20 schedule, Hamilton will begin its second Atlanta run on March 31, 2020. (The closing date has yet to be announced.) Far from the only musical sensation on the roster, the lineup also includes Wicked, the Wizard of Oz-themed story made famous by Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth back in 2003, and Broadway classics Hello, Dolly! and Miss Saigon. Rounding out the lineup are Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Band’s Visit, Anastasia, Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, and the Blue Man Group.
So how do you get tickets? First, unless you’re a Broadway in Atlanta season ticket-holder, be prepared to wait. Current subscribers can renew their subscriptions now, and new subscriptions will go on sale in late April, according to a Broadway in Atlanta press release. (Season ticket-holders also have first access to individual tickets.) Individual tickets for non-season ticket holders won’t go on sale until 8-12 weeks before opening night, which for Hamilton is roughly sometime between January 7 and February 4, 2020.
