J.R., the French street artist whose large-scale public installations of black-and-white photos of everyday people in everyday places have covered buildings and even villages, is returning to Atlanta. Here's how you can be a part of his latest project.

We asked Jonathan Brimer and Jason Pittenger, who opened Inman Quarter's hip Select Shades shop in March, to share the hottest new frames.

The trend of concentrating restaurants in places such as Krog Street Market, Ponce City Market, and Inman Quarter may be helpful in a city just beginning to embrace pedestrian arteries. But these food halls and mini-malls turn their backs to our streets, hoarding their treasures inside.

“What you see a lot of in Inman Park is restaurants that are a little higher end,” Billy says. “We want to offer somewhere where people can just come in and hang out, have a business lunch, or just have a drink before going to BarTaco or Beetlecat.”

Atlantans love big houses, so wouldn’t the thought of living in 600 square feet (or less) induce claustrophobia? Hardly, say the managers of upscale new apartment communities from Buckhead to Inman Park, where micro rentals are in high demand at premium prices.

As announced recently at a Frye Company secret supper, Cooper Miller, formerly of JCT Kitchen and the Strecks’ 2012 Atlantic Station pop-up Hudson North, will be leading the kitchen of this 3,500-square-feet restaurant.

This new Inman Quarter incubator for local artists focuses on housewares, but step past the lamps and pillows and you’ll find an artfully arranged selection of jewelry from more than a dozen Atlanta designers.

The Made Again storefront may be new to Inman Quarter, but the gallery has been a source for sustainably produced handmade goods since 2013, when founder Margeau Bull created the incubator as an online marketplace operating out of her garage.
