That a 1980s contemporary house in Buckhead would be renovated instead of razed is notable, perhaps signaling a growing enthusiasm for the style in the city. It was with that energy that Atlanta Magazine’s HOME displayed its second annual Modern Style showhouse in June, joining in on the reimagination of a contemporary gem.

Landscape designer Cameron Watkins created stunning arrangements for the interior spaces and patios in 715 Ralph McGill, including a living wall in the master bath, and a green retreat on the second floor balcony.

Julie Dewald and Sandra Pawliger, the retail market manager and a design associate a brand liason for Room & Board, respectively, created a relaxing roofdeck space for 715 Ralph McGill.

Zeb Grant, a Clarksville, Georgia native, honed his eye for classic and classically-modern design in his proper Southern upbringing along with its storied architecture and rich cuisine.

Niki Papadopoulos was Mark Williams's intern in 2004; now, she's his business partner. Together, they believe that "good design can be executed in any style—whatever style the homeowner brings to table," says Williams of their philosophy.

The pale blush-colored velvet drapes are about as much color as you'll get out of husband-and-wife design team Meghan and Patrick Sharp.

Michel Smith Boyd can walk to Ashley Point from his own home. "I'm actually adding value to my neighborhood," he says. "I love the idea of that."

"Context is important," says Kate Hayes, who designed this entryway and parlor. "The Old Fourth Ward is an interesting neighborhood, because you have these modern homes being built, but it's a neighborhood with rich history that's important to acknowledge."
