Michael Phillips honed his talent for developing sophisticated mixed-use projects during a 20-year, globe-spanning career in real estate. As president of Jamestown, Phillips’s profile rose when he led the development of New York City’s famed Chelsea Market and Atlanta’s Westside Provisions District. Phillips’s largest adaptive-reuse undertaking yet is the transformation of the 2 million-square-foot former Sears, Roebuck & Co. warehouse in the Old Fourth Ward into Ponce City Market, a colossal mix of offices, apartments, and retail stores, with an all-star cast of culinary talent in the central food hall.

Market Watch Travel + Leisure last year named PCM, alongside New York’s High Line and a circular Chinese skyscraper, to its “World’s Coolest New Tourist Attractions” list.
