In 2013, the world was captivated as Mei Lun and Mei Huan became the first surviving panda twins to be born in the United States. Shortly before the twins were sent to live at the Chengdu Research Base in China last November, another set of twin girls, Ya Lun and Xi Lun, were born. Now a year old, you can visit these cuddly cubs at Zoo Atlanta, along with gorillas, lions, Sumatran tigers, red pandas, tanukis, and hundreds of other creatures. Keep an eye out for fun events such as Brew at the Zoo and Sippin’ Safari that let you sample food and drink while hanging out among the animals. 800 Cherokee Avenue, 404-624-9453, zooatlanta.org
