The Braves offer Tom Glavine salute, classic cars at The Ted this weekend

Motorheads are gearing up for the 2nd annual “Octane in the Outfield” Saturday at Turner Field.

Beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday prior to the Braves taking on the San Francisco Giants at 7 p.m., car enthusiasts will be congregating in the Green Lot at Turner Field where fans will be showing off their classic car rides.

The event sponsored by the Atlanta Braves and AutoTrader Classics will also award prizes in five different categories. The winners and runners up will then be invited to showcase their automobiles in a drive around Turner Field prior to the first pitch.

Cars must be registered in advance and fans can score package deals at the Octane in the Outfield web page.

Singer Sara Evans will perform post-game.

Meanwhile, tickets are still available to tonight’s special event featuring fan favorite Tom Glavine as his No. 47 is retired and inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame in a special pre-game ceremony tonight.

Among the Braves alum scheduled to attend include: Ron Gant, Brian Jordan, Ryan Klesko, Mark Lemke, Javy Lopez, Greg McMichael, Otis Nixon and Pete Smith.

Fans are invited to stick around after the game for Friday Night Fireworks in the ball park.
