Leonard Yu, the chef-restaurateur who has been synonymous with omakase excellence, is preparing to launch a bold new wave of restaurants. In the fall, Yu will partner with Niki Pattharaskositkul of 26 Thai, Pink Lotus, and Blackjack Bar Tapas to debut Table 6, an izakaya and sushi spot in Midtown. Come March, he’ll launch Nori Me, a handroll bar, across from Fellini’s in Decatur. At the same time, Yu is creating an Argentinian steakhouse in West Midtown.

From Niki Pattharakositkul, owner of 26 Thai Kitchen & Bar at Uptown Atlanta, comes a new Asian fusion street food restaurant and bar called Blackjack. Slated to open this spring at 1080 Peachtree Street in Midtown, the 2,800-square-foot restaurant promises bold flavors with fresh ingredients in a vibrant atmosphere. It will serve dinner nightly as well as lunch on the weekends.

If you’re the type who wonders why the Cosmo ever went out of style, a new Dunwoody bar might satisfy all your 1990s urges. Okay Anny’s, the sequel to Colony Square’s hidden ’70s lounge JoJo’s Beloved, opens Friday at 5 p.m. in the new Politan Road food hall that was very briefly the Hall at Ashford Lane. In addition to Okay Anny’s, the 17,000-square-foot, 220-seat Politan Row at Ashford Lane will feature nine food stalls, a full-service Cuban restaurant, and a central bar.

Slated to reopen in October as Politan Row, the Ashford Lane location will feature some of the same vendors as the Colony Square location, as well as some new options. There will also be a new location of the JoJo’s Beloved bar; the Dunwoody location will take JoJo’s ten years into the future, making it a 1988-1992-era bar with decor and drinks to match.
