A James Beard Foundation Outstanding Wine Program semifinalist, Lucian Books & Wine serves a concise menu of French favorites in an intimate setting in Buckhead. Next year, the Lucian team—led by owners Katie Barringer, Jordan Smelt, and Mickey Mixson, along with executive chef Jason Paolini—will bring their fine fare and hospitality to Old Fourth Ward with the opening of Sargent.

Calling all Francophiles—the French Market is coming to Buckhead Village. On September 9 from noon to 7 p.m., Buckhead Avenue will be filled with French and French-adjacent vendors showcasing everything from home goods to cheese.

In France, one of the highest compliments one can pay to a dish or a meal is: “It was correct.” Having grown up in this context, where proper execution is valued and silly hyperbole frowned upon, I am delighted to say that Forough Vakili’s posh new all-day restaurant in Buckhead—a celebration of the Parisian grand cafe—is bold, elegant, but above all, correct on almost every level.

When Paris native Sam Djomo Jr. visited Atlantic Station a few years ago, he was impressed with the pedestrian-friendly vibe. When the former Land of a Thousand Hills space there became available, he snagged it. Come April, Djomo will open Rosé Bistro & Champagne Bar, serving both Parisian and Southern specialties.
