Age 46
After opening Southern-inspired JCT Kitchen in 2007, Fry waited four years before adding a second eatery to his stable. However, since 2011, he’s launched a new restaurant every year. This year he’s already managed to crank out two—Superica and Marcel—with three more slated to open this fall. Indeed, Atlanta hasn’t seen a restaurateur this ambitious (and well-funded) since Panos Karatossos of the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group. Fry’s concepts have met with such success that developers now partner with him to help draw attention to new properties.

Cooking with gas Future Fry openings include Bar Margot at the Four Seasons; a third El Felix/Superica clone in Buckhead; a sister restaurant to the Optimist in Inman Quarter; and his Houston restaurant, State of Grace. Fry is also working on his first cookbook.
