The Daniel Richards Group, the owners of the Merchant gift shop and Ponce City Market’s Collier Candy Company and Archer Paper Goods, just debuted its newest shop full of trendy, Instagram-worthy gifts. Ace & Jack, also located at PCM, is a pet supply boutique that sells everything from leashes and collars to food bowls, treats, dog beds, and more.

“It’s more of a lifestyle kind of pet store,” says Dan Collier, principal of Daniel Richards. “I looked for lines that are a little more fashion-forward.”
One of those lines, he says, is Harry Barker. “It has a great assortment of bedding and throws that complement each other in taupes, creams, browns, and a few animal prints,” Collier explains. “There are leashes and collars that coordinate with that, feed bowls that coordinate, and canvas toys all made out of the same type of fabrics and color palate, so it all works together and looks great in your home.”

The shop’s name is also pet-inspired. The marketing executive of Daniel Richards has a dog named Ace, and Jack is Collier’s rescued Australian cattle dog/boxer mix, who often accompanies him to the shops on the weekends.
To celebrate the shop’s launch, Ace & Jack will hold a grand opening celebration on December 16 that will feature treats for dogs and 25 percent off the entire store. And on December 9 from 3 to 5 p.m., you can take your pooch to the store have its photo taken with Santa for free.
