SCAD TVfest returns to Atlanta this week, February 5-7. Now in its 13th year, it brings together industry notables from around the world to celebrate creativity in television and media production, including shows filmed in Georgia. All types of digital media are included, such as broadcast, cable, streaming, social media, and advertising; events will discuss industry trends and showcase upcoming projects.

Curved lines, interesting textures, and playful scale—chances are, you’ve seen furniture designer Francie Lowman’s work at stores like Anthropologie, Interior Define, or Urban Outfitters. With her own brand, Mangata Experience, which she launched in 2020, she is looking to break down gender norms around carpentry and redefine what it means to be sustainable in furniture design.

On February 11, Art Papers will host its 24th annual art auction, a fundraiser for the magazine where attendees can bid on works by artists from the Southeast and across the world. The event will feature over 200 pieces for auction, priced for a wide range of budgets, as well as an “Emerging Collectors Section” with works under $200 available for outright purchase.
