After the FIFA World Cup 2026™ excitement fades in Atlanta, a stellar slate of new sports events will come into focus. Here are some highlights.

Volunteers are responsible for making sure the FIFA World Cup 2026™ is a positive and memorable experience for visitors. In Atlanta, there are 3,000 recruited, vetted, and trained by the FIFA World Cup™ Volunteer Program. "Our hospitality really shines through with the volunteers,” says Margaret Beckley, the volunteer program lead for the Atlanta World Cup Host Committee.

When the Super Bowl kicks off on February 8, Taylor Rooks will be watching live from Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. It’s familiar territory for the Gwinnett County native, who hosts Prime Video’s NBA broadcasts and reports for the streamer’s Thursday Night Football. Rather than being in the thick of the action, she draws on her childhood spent around athletes to show audiences what makes these sporting superstars tick.

For the rest the world, this may have been Taylor Swift's Super Bowl but here in Atlanta, we weren't watching the game for Taylor, or Travis, or Brock Purdy, or Patrick Mahomes.
