As the temperatures drop, so can your motivation for working out. Three top Atlanta trainers share winter-workout essentials that keep them warm, stylish, and eager to hit the gym.

  1. A native of Costa Rica, yoga teacher Cristina Meloy of Sacred Thread Yoga (among other studios) says being “covered up” doesn’t come naturally to her. She layers Athleta’s Rock Ridge vest ($138) over its Stadium hoodie for a look that transfers to any activity and allows for comfort that this sun-lover rarely finds in winter clothes.
  2. Keep your feet cozy and fashionable in Mou eskimo sneakers ($290), a favorite of Megan Armstrong. She’s the creative director and trainer at SculptHouse, which offers a cardio- and Lagree-based workout plus a posh boutique. “These are perfect for heading to those cold, early-morning classes,” she says.
  3. Coach Charles Clarke, a personal trainer known for his “booty lab” sessions, favors  Lululemon’s Surge Light tights ($98). “They are breathable and perfect for layering,” he says, keeping him warm and flexible for hours teaching outdoors in the colder months.
